SCOPE & SOLUTIONS

The scope includes development of BIM model and documentation for different project stages according to German requirements (HOAI). All project documents and drawings (like plans, sections, diagrams and calculations etc.) were fully based on the data integrated BIM model.

Footprint area – 10 700 m2. The scope includes development of BIM model and documentation for different project stages. All project documents and drawings (like plans, sections, diagrams and calculations etc.) were fully based on the data integrated BIM model.

The scope of deliverables covered following engineering solutions:

  • Site Layout and Landscaping
  • Architectural and Structural
  • Heating and Ventilation
  • Rain Water System
  • Domestic and Process Water Supply and Sewage
  • Fire Alarm and Fire Fighting (Sprinkler System)
  • Power Supply and Distribution
  • Indoor and Outdoor Lighting and Small Power
  • Grounding and Lightning Protection
  • Data Network & Security Systems
  • All solutions are fully based on the BIM capabilities using Autodesk Revit, Civil 3D and corresponding add-ins.

As part of tender package preparation was generated comprehensive material take-off for all disciplines.

All solutions are fully based on the BIM capabilities using Autodesk Revit and corresponding add-ins.

As part of tender package preparation was generated comprehensive material take-off for all disciplines. The material take-off been prepared in respect to import data for iTWO Platform and implementation of 5D (3D + Cost) tendering and cost control.

RESULTS & ACHIEVEMENTS

The main goals of the project delivery were to make cost effective construction (value engineering), improve building elements prefabrication and optimize the time schedule for erection. As basement for all project deliverables was used BIM model. Prepared model was fully data integrated linked to its elements. BIM data used for interdisciplinary collaboration and engineering calculations. All documents and drawings were generated from BIM model. Intradisciplinary collaboration and various design reviews, analysis and clash detections allowed to significantly reduce the time and costs of design, avoid mistakes that affect to construction time.

The project BIM coordination was fully handled in common data environmental platform BIM360. Following practices have been applied:

  • Real time data and team connection
  • Document management
  • Issues and markups management and tracking
  • Collaboration and coordination
  • Design reviews
  • Progress control (including changes review)

To improve efficiency and performance the Agile principles were used during the project lifecycle. The main idea to use Agile methodology is to make transparent and clear project results and split the deliverables to short period (weekly sprints) and avoid mistakes accumulation. As part of various design review and visualization was used the Virtual Reality (VR).
