Good Relationships Are Part of Good Business - Leadership article from TEBIN

Costa Project celebrated ten years in business this month. For an engineering and architecture studio that has grown into one of the respected firms in Poland, ten years is a real milestone. We gathered in Gdańsk to mark it — and looking around the room, I realised how many of the people there I had known for far longer than the company had existed.

That is the thing about long-term relationships in this industry. They do not start with a contract. They start with working alongside someone on a difficult project, seeing how they handle pressure, how they treat their team, how they talk about their clients when no one is watching. The professional relationship comes later. The trust comes first.

Maciej Gwozdz, Grzegorz Wieczorek, Andrew Sheronov — we have known each other from the corporate world, long before TEBIN, Costa Project, or WSP were part of the picture. Companies change. Markets change. Roles change. People who earn your respect stay in your network for decades, in whatever form that takes — as collaborators, as sources of perspective, as friends who happen to work in the same field.

In international engineering and architecture, where projects span borders and teams form and dissolve across every engagement, the professional network is not a courtesy — it is infrastructure. The ability to pick up the phone and speak honestly with someone who knows the industry, knows you, and will tell you what they actually think is genuinely rare. It is also one of the most valuable things you can build over a career. Good relationships are part of good business. Congratulations to the Costa Project team on ten years.
